Another Amazing Giveaway!

Mama’s Holiday Wish List Meme

TodaysMama (link to: http://bit.ly/tmwishlist) and GameStop (link to: http://bit.ly/gamestop10) are giving away a sleighful of gifts this holiday season and to enter I’m sharing this meme with you.

1. What is your holiday wish for your family?

To be together(happily) and share in the magic of Christmas through a 3 & 6 year old's eyes.

2. What is your Christmas morning / Hanukkah Nightly tradition?

The hope is that Daddy, a fire fighter, is home and we can open presents together.

3. If you could ask Santa for one, completely decadent wish for yourself, what would it be?

A trip for the whole family to Atlantis in the Bahamas.

4. How do you make the holidays special without spending any money?

We just had fun decorating the tree and every year we make cookies for the neighbors. I also like having the kids trace their hands and feet to make reindeer.

5. What games did you play with your family growing up?

My family loves card games, hand & foot, shang hai, tick and others. If you plan on marrying in you better like cards.

6. What holiday tradition have you carried on from your own childhood?

Having a birthday party on Christmas Eve, my sister's bday is Christmas day and my son's is Christmas Eve. We were never allowed to open in presents early so she at least had a special day.

7. Where would you go for a Christmas/Hanukkah-away-from-home trip?

The kids would be happy with Wisconsin Dells, I would love to be somewhere warm with a beach. Palm Trees can be decorated.

8. Check out GameStop (link to: http://bit.ly/gamestop10) and tell us, what are the three top items on your GameStop Wish List this year?

Nintendo DSi, Kinnect for XBOX, Just Dance 2 for my daughter.

Ghouling Good Time

We had so much fun this Halloween. K's love for Scooby Doo spurred us to all get in the spirit. Thanks to Goodwill, Mike and I found great outfits. We also were invited to our first family Halloween party. We had a great time hanging out with friends. Now to decide what we are going to be next year, my vote is the Flinstones, but sadly K doesn't know who that is. I also suggested Little Red Riding Hood, K being Grandma, Logan the wolf or woodsman(this suggestion comes from the fact that I already own a little red riding hood costume.) Send in those suggestions.

More Digital Scrapbooking

Tuesday, October 26, 2010

I just finished my first layout using digital scrapbooking and it's AMAZING! I will probably never go back to paper scrapbooking again. (No need for paper companies to worry, there are so many other things to make with the cute paper they sell.) It is so easy to use and editing is a breeze. No more boxes of die cuts that were the wrong size or trying to gently peel off that misplaced photo. After a free trial run, I download Scrapbook MAX 2.0. If you go to http://mycomputerismycanvas.blogspot.com/2010/08/digital-scrapbooking-101.html they have a great tutorial to walk you through your first layout. She even tells you where to get your first digital kit for free and just in time for those Halloween photos.

Fall Fun

The kids sure had their fill of Fall fun this weekend. Friday we went to Morton for the Pumpkin Festival. We were able to have a nice visit with Mike's grandparents and the kids had a blast on the rides. We couldn't leave without having some pumpkin ice cream, of course. Saturday was Monticello's Celebrations. Grandma and Grandpa with the Molly were able to join the fun. The kids liked being able to "paint the town" and had fun in the inflatables.

First Day of School

Kayla and Logan both started their first year of public school. I'm not sure who had more of an adjustment, me or them. I wasn't quite ready for Logan to be gone five days a week. It's so cute seeing him get off the big bus. I really would like time to slow down.

What Happened?

Ok, so maybe starting a blog right before summer break wasn't the smartest thing to do for me. Let's just say we were having too much fun. There was the trips to Camp Grandma's, the new city pool, a baptism, wedding and anniversary party. I would like to say that now that school has started things have calmed down and I have all the time in the world. How many mom's out there are now giggling!

Ships Ahoy, Its A Boy!

Hosted a baby shower for my sister-in-law and while it was a few months ago, I had so much fun coming up with the decorations. The theme came easy, they named him after the saint of sailors and have a sailboat themed nursery.

My Little Picaso

For career day Kayla decided to dress up as an artist. Borrowed a white shirt, made a palette and Kayla said we need the hat. I DO NOT sew, so used the cricut to make a paper one. Love that little machine and this cutie!

Where to start...

So I'm jumping into the world of blogging. I decided this would be an easy way to document the kids growing up, keep all the relatives up to date on the kids and share creations, mostly paper, of my own design and others that have inspired me.
